For most people HPV (the virus that causes genital warts) goes away on its own. So, your body may be able to get rid of it in the future. But for now, there are a few ways of treating the warts.
I personally think the easiest way is by going to the doctor and having them write you a prescription for some cream. Aldara and Condylox are both creams available with a prescription from your doctor. Either one of these can be applied at your convenience at your own home. If you do get one of these medications make sure you read the directions because it can actually cause a person to get 2nd and 3rd degree burns from it, no joke! And, it can take a while for the warts to disappear. I used Aldara about 10 months ago and it took a little over a month for the warts to completely go away.
If this doesn’t work, you may need to have the doctor apply a stronger medication at the office. This is done in several visits, is more expensive and can be pretty painful from what I have heard.
If that still doesn’t work or the warts are severe you may even need to have them surgically removed. The doctor can freeze them off or burn them off. I personally saw this as a last resort and wanted to try the cream at home first.
You really should get them treated by a doctor. Do NOT use over the counter products or any "home remedies". This can irritate the skin even more and burn it! Over the counter medication for warts is for hand and feet warts. It is too strong for a sensitive area like the genital area.

There is no cure. You can get a dnc and laporoscopy and remove them but they are still there laying dormant. And if you get an outbreak you can spread them to your partner. Genital warts are like herpes. Except they are not painful.

If you are pregnant, you should not use podophyllin or podofilox because they are absorbed by the skin and may cause birth defects in your baby. In addition, you should not use 5-fluorouracil cream if you are trying to become pregnant or if there is a possibility that you could be pregnant.
If you have small warts, the doctor can remove them by freezing (cryosurgery), burning (electrocautery), or laser treatment. Occasionally, the doctor will have to use surgery to remove large warts that have not responded to other treatment.

I have a vagina warth and it is either type 6 or 11 since I had to deal with a bad infection . My doctor froze the warth for me and a week later I have to go for further treatments . I just talked to somone else and she told me that there is a new medicine in the market that can kill type 6 and 11 , and she took it and she is ok now . Meanwhile you have to work on your immune system take lots of vitamin and good food and get rid of the warth as soon as you can eventhough it might cost you lots of money if you live in the states ( i am canadian and i didnt have to pay so I dont know how expensive it is to get rid of the warth)
